The Seaside Heritage Center building is located at 2773 Main Street, It is no longer open for the public but has a very special history…
The building cornerstone was laid in 1895 and dedicated as the Seaside Lodge #70 IOOF from Joshua Nickerson and his wife, Rebecca. The hall was built in Four Square architectural style with two and a half stories under a hip roof with a widow’s walk at the crest. Other prominent features are the three pediment dormer windows. One of the dormer windows is adjacent to the Queen Anne style tower on the building façade, and the others are on each side of the building. Note the eyebrow multi-paned window in the tower.
